At that meeting the overall conditions of the town were discussed. Based on information provided by the fellow natives who recently visited Thomonde, it was noted that:

• Lack of health care
• Lack of pure drinking water,                                                                   
• Very limited Electricity,
• Public buildings, churches, schools and roads in deplorable conditions.

To address those needs, KOREKTHO of U.S. was established, and months later, we had  KOREKTHO of Thomonde. Ever since, this Thomonde committee has been an integral part of the organization's progress.

KOREKTHO's objective is to unite the Thomonde's diaspora to take part in the socio-economic and cultural development of the town and its surroundings.

KOREKTHO, INC.  is organized as exclusively  religious, charitable, and educational within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3), of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.

 We are non partisan and  not for profit. KOREKTHO, INC. will collaborate with all organizations of the same nature.

Mission

Our mission is to help the town of Thomonde in improving its electricity service, facilitate pure drinking water, assist in the construction of public buildings, schools, churches, roads and, most importantly, children's education.

Vision

Our vision is to work toward a better tomorrow for the Thomonde's community. We will not stop working until every child in Thomonde can read, write and compute.

We believe that all children can learn and excel if given the opportunity.

We dedicate ourselves toward the following  short and long term goals:

• Rebuild our community school (Ecole Communautaire KOKEKTHO de Thomonde)
• Build a Vocational School in Thomonde
• Develop/support irrigation project
• Support reforestation of the town
